Hi, my name is Denise!

I am an Italian 31 years old woman obsessed with travelling, music and lyrics who works as a flight attendant. My job is the reason why I spent the last 3 years of my life in Germany: Hamburg since 2016, and most recently Berlin.

I have been diagnosed with breast cancer almost 1 year ago, on the 13th of June 2019 to be precise.

So, as you can imagine, 2019 wasn’t exactly my best year. I was hoping for a nice 2020 but, well… shall I put all my hopes into 2021? 😉
I went through chemotherapy, mastectomy, radiation therapy and still ongoing hormone therapy.

During my Journey, since the early stage of my first visit and analysis, I have always felt the need to look for information from girls and women dealing with the same situation and sharing their own experiences. I wanted to be prepared for what was going to come next.

This blog aims to be what I would have liked to find during my research… a collection of information, useful websites and tips based on personal experience about how to live through this difficult moment.

So… Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome on board!
We kindly ask you to fasten your seat belt, the way won’t be easy but with some tips and support you will go through it as I did. Be prepared to have ups and downs but be strong and with a positive attitude, as this Journey will help you to figure out more than what you think you know about yourself and the people around you.

Berlin, May 2020
